Here it is; back by popular demand, the Garber Family Picture. We added 2 to our number since the last family shot. The boys are now tied with the girls. I am continually amazed at what a wonderful family I was blessed to marry into.

Anya has had a rough month. She’s been sick on and off, and the holidays keep changing her nap time. I’m a sucker for a good crying picture. Though we all have days like this one, we just can’t let loose like a toddler.

Here’s my sister and my first niece. In this picture she looks so serene, but don’t be fooled; this little baby is the most active person I know. We joke that she runs marathons while she’s sleeping.

We took a long walk on this Indian summer day. I pushed the girls in my snazzy, new double stroller and carried Josiah in the Baby Bjorn. Transporting the kids that way always brings the comments. “You got your hands full?” Yep, and my heart too. None of us wanted to go inside. I don’t want to ever forget these days. Bruce once said, “Don’t blink, because they’re all grown up in a minute.” That’s I felt today. I didn’t want it to ever end.
As the family photographer, I’m hardly ever in the pictures. But I asked a neighbor to help me commemorate this day with a picture on our front steps.

My family, my parents, my brother and his family and my cousins and their families all traveled down to the Carolina coast land for my Grandad’s 80th birthday party. My Grandad is amazingly active at 80. He still takes trips up to New England in his pick up truck. He’s one of the younger members of a group that repairs houses for people in need.
Here he is with my Grangran.
Here I am with my mother after the party. This is my new favorite picture of the 2 of us. We enjoyed taking the trip all together, but I don’t think the kids liked sharing her with all of the other family members. Once we got home, they wanted to go to Omi’s.
And here’s a pic of Matthew and the kids in front of Burger King on the way home. Actually we were only about half an hour into the trip, and then had to stop. With the kids awake, I think the trip took 3 hours longer than the ride through the night on the way there.
